How I Work

My goal in therapy is for you to walk away from our sessions feeling empowered, equipped with practical tools, and with a renewed sense of self-compassion. It’s also important to say that while that is true, our sessions will not coddle you. I want to challenge you and also celebrate progress - no matter how small - while embracing the moments you’ve already taken on your journey.

My work is rooted in empathy, and I focus on building trust and creating a safe space where you can explore challenges without judgment. In our work together, we’ll explore the “here and now” of your life, focusing on what’s happening in the moment - how you feel, what you notice, and where you might be getting stuck. Gestalt therapy encourages full awareness of your internal and external world, so we can uncover how you interact with your identity, your environment, and your relationships.

ADHD isn’t just about distraction. It’s about how your nervous system has learned to survive in a world that often moves too fast, expects too much, and doesn’t pause to understand.

In our work together, we won’t just focus on tools for time management or productivity (though those are helpful too). We’ll slow down and explore what it feels like to live with ADHD. The self-blame, the overwhelm, the moments where you want so badly to start something but your body just…won’t.

Maybe you’ve found yourself spending hours researching the perfect laundry system, only to end the day with clothes still in the basket. Maybe replying to a simple email feels like climbing a mountain. Or you’ve been told you're “too sensitive” or “not living up to your potential” and a part of you started to believe it.

I approach ADHD through a trauma-informed lens, which means I see these struggles as adaptations. Your nervous system has been doing its best to protect you. Together, we’ll explore and gently start to untangle the shame, perfectionism, or fear that may have gotten wrapped up in everyday tasks.

This is about more than coping. It’s about understanding yourself in a deeper, kinder way, and finally learning to move at the pace of your own nervous system.

You’ll gain insight into your behaviors and emotions, but also feel the changes happening in real time. It’s like piecing together a puzzle: the more aware you become of the different pieces, the clearer the bigger picture becomes.

About me

I often find myself sitting across from people who say, “I don’t know why I feel this way…I’ve done everything right.” Maybe you can relate to that. Maybe you’ve spent years trying to keep things together, putting others first, and working hard to be the best version of yourself… only to end up feeling exhausted, resentful, or unsure of who you are underneath it all.

I’ve come to believe that people pleasing doesn’t always lead to peace. Sometimes, it just leads to disconnection

In therapy, I work gently and collaboratively to help you slow down and understand what’s really happening beneath the surface. Not to “fix” , but to meet you. I believe awareness creates choice, and choice makes real change possible. When you begin to see your patterns with compassion (not judgment), a new kind of self-trust can emerge, one that helps you navigate relationships, emotions, and life with more clarity and confidence.

My approach is curious, trauma-informed, and deeply human. Together, we’ll explore your story, to understand how it shaped you, and to start writing a future that feels more like you.

Growing up in a diverse cultural environment in the Arab world shaped my perspective and deepened my appreciation for different backgrounds and experiences. This foundation led me to work and intern with refugees and immigrants, where I learned firsthand the importance of identity, resilience, and belonging in mental health. I know what it’s like to feel scattered, misunderstood, or like your brain doesn’t quite match the pace of the world. My approach focuses on helping folks reconnect with their worth, find what works for them, and stop measuring themselves by someone else’s standard.

I carry with me the lessons of cultural diversity, adaptability, and the power of connection. I’m deeply grateful for the experiences that have shaped me, and I believe that every person’s journey—no matter how complex—is worth understanding and celebrating. Whether through my professional work, creative projects, or everyday interactions, my goal is to foster spaces where people feel seen, understood, and empowered.

Outside of my professional work I’m a proud cat parent to three mischievous and lovable felines who keep me on my toes. When I’m not in therapy mode, you can probably catch me enjoying anything from Star Wars marathons to discovering new music across every genre! I’m passionate about staying curious and staying lighthearted. Sometimes the best therapy is a good laugh or a catchy tune.
